Pidän taiteellisessa ilmaisussa yksityiskohtaisesta ja realistisesta tyylistä. Minulle on ihmeellinen hetki, kun veistokseni tai maalaukseni yhtäkkiä alkaa elää, sillä silloin syntyy katselijalle tunteita.
Löydän inspiraatiota ennen kaikkea kauniista luonnosta, joka ympäröi minua täällä Juuassa kaikkialla.
Kun ajattelen juuria aiheena, mieleeni tulee monenlaisia ajatuksia. Juuret ovat elämän perusta. Ne antavat tukea ja turvaa. Juuret todistavat alkuperästä ja yhdistävät menneisyyden tulevaisuuteen. Ne ovat yleensä hyvin suojassa, kätkeytyneinä maaperään, ja muodostavat siellä salaperäisen symbioosin muiden elävien olentojen kanssa.
Olen saksalainen, joten ensi silmäyksellä minulla on saksalaiset juuret. Mutta mitä pidemmälle sukupolvissa taaksepäin katsoo, sitä enemmän omat juuret haarautuvat ja paljastavat monia salaisuuksia. Tunnen olevani vahvasti juurtunut luontoon, pikkuinen osa elämää tällä ainutlaatuisella planeetalla.

When I think about the theme of roots, various thoughts come to mind. Roots are the foundation of life. They provide stability and a sense of security. Roots testify to origin and connect the past with the future. They are usually well protected, hidden in the soil, and form a mysterious symbiosis with other living beings.
I am German, so at first glance I have German roots. But the further back one looks through the generations, the more the own roots branch out and reveal many secrets. I feel deeply rooted in nature, a tiny part of life on this unique planet.
