Vahvuuteni kivenveistäjänä on, jotta teen yksilöllisesti tunnistettavia teoksia.
Ihmisenä ja taiteilijana olen introvertti. En tahdo tuoda itseäni esille, vaan sitä, mitä käsilläni teen. Toivon, jotta se herättää ihmisissä tunteita.
Luonnon muodot ja rytmit ja intuitiivinen tapa työstää kiveä ovat inspiraationi lähteet.
Tämän vuoden teema on haasteellinen: on pohdittava tarkoin, millainen teos jää ihmisten ja tuomareiden mieleen – jos tapahtuman ottaa kilpailuna!
3. Jarmo Lehikoinen (FIN)
My strength as a stone sculptor is my ability to create individually recognizable works.
As a person and an artist, I am an introvert. I do not wish to draw attention to myself, but rather to what I create with my hands. I hope that my work evokes emotions in people.
The forms and rhythms of nature, as well as an intuitive approach to working with stone, are my sources of inspiration.
This year’s theme is challenging: one must carefully consider what kind of piece will remain in the minds of both viewers and judges — if the event is approached as a competition!
